Marc L. TerBeek

Marc TerBeek, a principal and founding partner of Mehlman TerBeek LLP, has been an active member of the Bay Area legal community for more than 20 years, first as a legal assistant, then as an attorney. Mr. TerBeek’s focus is primarily litigation, with legal matters ranging from business disputes to employment and insurance coverage matters.

Mr. TerBeek earned an associate’s degree in legal assisting, cum laude, from City College of San Francisco in 1984. He went on to earn a bachelor of arts in political science, magna cum laude, in 1988; and a juris doctor from Hastings College of the Law, in 1993. Mr. TerBeek was admitted to the State Bar of California in November 1993.

As first a legal assistant, then associate attorney with Cartwright, Slobodin, Bokelman, Borowsky, Wartnick, Moore & Harris, Mr. TerBeek was involved in complex mass tort litigation and products liability litigation. He has experience in both plaintiff and defense personal injury litigation with Scampini, Mortara & Harris; the Law Offices of William L. Veen; and King, King & Fishleder.

As a principal and founding partner of Mehlman TerBeek LLP, Mr. TerBeek is involved in diverse legal issues, from small disputes between neighbors to significant employment, personal injury and insurance coverage matters. Mr. TerBeek takes great pride in thinking outside the box when it comes to his client’s needs. He is driven by a realistic, results-oriented approach to a client’s situation – one that soundly addresses the legal issues, as well as the practical issues that arise when resolving disputes. He is keenly aware that his title is attorney and counselor at law – a position of trust that requires his application of real-world perspectives to render advice that meets the client’s needs as well as the client’s desires.
